roadtripgirlI’m really glad you’re back….butYou are an excellent host but your guests need to keep it simple while introducing new information and advice. We don’t all have our phd in biology.

Keto CrushSo informative!I have learned so much listening to Dr Mowll! I had never heard about the 5 sub groups of diabetes and I learned how to test blood glucose properly for the greatest benefit. The information is explained in an easy to understand way and has great pointers on how to implement changes. Thank you Dr Mowll! Donna

Mansa MekiVery resourceful and practical advise!I am truly thankful for this podcast. I listened to it regularly during my walks and was able to reverse my blood sugar situation. Understanding how everything is interconnected - food, exercise, lifestyle choices, awareness - has helped me form habits that are tailored to my own situation and seen remarkable improvements. My GP practice said to me, well done and keep doing what you are doing. Thank you Dr Brian, you are very much appreciated!

kshkvalUseful because it’s science-basedI have a graduate degree in Agriculture. I’m accustomed to reading peer reviewed articles and listening to professional conferences… about Agriculture. I thought I’d be out of my league when learning about how to handle blood sugars. Dr. Mowll relies on literature reviews and conference quality interviews for the content of his podcasts. So I’m right at home. I have learned a lot from his interview with Dr. Fung and others, backed up by cited literature from Harvard and other universities. Thank you.

Chizzle dizzyizzleGreat podcast for EVERYONE wanting to improve healthI am extremely impressed with this podcast! Throughout my life I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and healthy diet. After having my daughter, a visit to the doctor revealed my gestational diabetes has turned into prediabetes. I have been in search of a podcast to provide solid evidence-based research to help guide my future healthy habits in addition to dietary information. I am an emergency room nurse and have a lot of knowledge on the subject already. I was skeptical I would be able to find a podcast as informative and awesome as this one that doesn’t “dumb down” information for its listeners. However, my mind has been blown with all of the great information and informative speakers on the show. I recommend this podcast to anyone looking to improve their overall health and those looking to become more informed about healthy dietary options. Additionally, I recommend this podcast for any healthcare provider working with nutrition or the diabetic community. There is so much great information in here to learn!

pdxlabreckreally valuable informationWhen I was first diagnosed with T2 diabetes, I listened to a ten part webinar series by Dr. Mowill. I rarely make it through a couple of educational webinars and yet I listened to all 10 because it’s such valuable information. He doesn’t dumb it down and gives you the facts you need to take control.

DasportsguyGlad it’s back!So glad this podcast is back. It gets to the point and doesn’t drown in forever on the subject for the day. Dr. Mowll keeps the interviews focused on the topic and always brings up something that I feel I can work with in my T2DM life. I really like the addition of the Insights and Coach’s Corner podcasts to the interview podcasts. Actionable information is always a welcomed thing. Thanks for doing these Dr Mowll!

jjtjoyKeeping healthyI was able to take off 35 pounds based just on the wake-up call of a 6.0 A1C test. Now I’m digging into these podcasts for more details and ideas for keeping healthy. I’m savoring them and trying to incorporate one or two new behaviors at a time. That’s manageable for me, and this powerful resource is always there for support. Thanks.

rmkay543bipolar & blood sugar/food regulation :0)I fought to remove myself from medications that were not helping me with my struggle of a diagnosis of Bipolar type1.... (I am not advocating for anyone to do it the way I did, necessarily lol) as I did it on my own without much help/support. I stopped taking benzodiazipines and antipsychotics and I was scared - I began journaling food, mood, daily notes on events, anxiety, relational interactions, stress levels. It was fascinating as patterns began to emerge: sleep was vitaly important and not to be messed with - next was FOOD! I have a direct correlation with carbs to my moods and impulses... obviously I avoid caffeine and alcohol at all costs... but, am trying to avoid carbs. My doc in 2015 told me I needed cholesterol meds and that I was prediabetic - but was angry when I mentioned wanting to change my life. I went from 228 to 168 and lowered triglycerides, total cholesterol, increased good cholesterol, but am still lingering around 126 average of blood sugar. I have recently become desperate thinking I'm not going to win this battle (parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters; all diabetic)! Even the doc seemed to laugh when I wanted to battle this process the same as I did bipolar managment (still no meds since 2015). I felt a bit overwhelmed regarding food and thinking I needed to eat every 2 hours - but didn't seem to be making correct choices and then there is the almighty binge.... :0( All this rant to say: THANK YOU! I feel better equipped, I understand what is happening in the body better - such as overload carbs, build up fat stores in liver, overflowing garbage hidden throughout the house, and suddenly solutions I am hearing through this podcast seem relatively SIMPLE - I know still not "fun" exactly because lets face it, we love carbs for self gratification - but, I have to go to bed earlier than anyone I know, I can not drink, I cannot have many major changes or overstimulation and I can't have caffeine or sugar all related to my bipolar managment - hahahaha some things are okay for others - but not beneficial for me! I cannot thank you enough for the hope you are giving in managing this and feeling better equipped to fight for my health naturally and avoid meds. I am blown away and just so thankful!!!!!!!

Stillwater_essentialsGreat information!Very interesting info -easy way to learn about how our bodies react to sugar etc.

fan10062010Inspiring Helpful HopefulAmazing content curated from the greatest minds in managing blood sugar, insulin, and diabetes. This podcast is a light in the darkness of a failed system of treating symptoms rather than the cause. You can expect to gain deeper insight into the reversible condition of diabetes and find great resources to take your understanding as far as you wish to go. Can say enough good things about this life changing information! Thank you!!!
-
LayinItDown4yaThe Sweet Life!Dr. Brian keeps up with the latest on blood suger issues more than any doctor I know. He’s also a kind and generous person adn really cares about making a difference!
-
nutmegcoffeeVery InformativeI am in my early 30s, a mom of 2, and I maintain a healthy weight. I have watched my calorie intake for most of my adult life, but I think that this method has caused me to eat too many carbs and not enough fat. I have always been a “quantity” eater. For the past 10 years, my yearly labs have shown elevated A1C levels. My mom is suffering from complications of type 2 diabetes. I know that I will be walking the same path if I don’t take steps now to improve my health. I’ve listened to several podcasts on diabetes and nutrition, but I have found that Dr. Mowll’s is the most informative and easy to listen to. After listening, I feel armed with tools and a sense of hope. I hope that Dr. Mowll will keep producing wonderful episodes! Thank you!

ricebunnyxoxoLove it!Thank you for everything!! Love all the topics

mbarrtGet Lean, Get Muscular, and Smash Aging and Chronic DiseaseExcellent podcast. P. D. Mangan summed it up at the end of the podcast. It’s what every Doctor should tell his diabetic or pre-diabetic patient. These important points are: 1. No process foods. Eat whole foods. 2. Cut the carbs. No process foods. 3. Exercise. Lift weights and do HIIT exercises. Lastly he mentioned doing Intermittent Fasting. Thanks for your programs. Very informative and interesting. Dave Bailey, MBA, RRT, CSCS, RPSGT, EMT

NG213213He is not a doctor. And it shows.“Dr” Brian Mowll is not a medical doctor. His podcast is the most poorly researched drivel I’ve ever wasted 30 minutes on. Go somewhere else if you want to learn.

katiekavmels88Great Podcast--Highly RecommendedI really enjoy this podcast. Brian's podcasts go into more detail than others that I follow (which I really appreciate) and yet the information that's presented is extremely practical and immediately implementable. I also enjoy the delivery and overall "feel" of the podcasts. I can tell that Brian is truly passionate about helping people improve their health. Although the podcast topic is focused on blood sugar, I find that the podcasts are well spread out topic-wise, they are diverse and keep my interest, and yet they're all connected. I really appreciate the time and energy he puts into this podcast!

WillnCharsMumEXCELLENT!!!What an amazing gem of knowledge for everyone out there who is diabetic pre-diabetic and loved ones of those diagnosed with Type ll Diabetes. A real eye-opener even for those without diabetes to wake us up to the underlying cause of diabetes. It also gives empowers us by giving us the ammunition to combat this disease head on...by either reversing the disease or fending it off completely! Thank you for airing this podcast...keep them coming!

healthyone!Hope!!Dr Mowll has given me so much information via these podcasts!!! I have just listened to his interview with Dr Jason Fung and am thrilled to have all of this info at my fingertips! David S42You're trying too hard to sound like AM radioDr. Brian, The content of your interviews is excellent. As a former radio professional, though, I have to say that your introductions and closes, outside the interview, are not compatible with the seriousness of the interviews. To me, they sound like you are trying to be a mainstream AM disk jockey. Your voice is exaggerated. It's not you. Please just be yourself--you've got important information to disseminate. I have to add that I'm not a fan of having a predigested detailed summary of the content of the interview, before hearing it. That's something you should put in the notes. I know the theory that you need to tell people what you will tell them. I feel my intelligence is personally insulted by that approach. I'd rather hear the information from the horse's mouth, the first time. Thanks for doing these podcasts. The fix to my observations is simple and painless, and will add to the integrity of the product.
-
bkmbe33Great Information!Love how Dr Mowll has different guests who bring such a wide variety of information and perspectives on this topic of health. Just listened to Sachin Patel who gave me alot to think about! How could you argue with someone who tells you to do nothing !! Rest more, sit in silence more and eat less .
-

You have the best guests, real leaders in the field and a great format to help me learn the most. I truly enjoy your interview style and the knowledgeable questions you ask. Yours is the one podcast I wish was even longer. Thanks for helping me in my journey and I’m looking forward to hearing more from you.

Jay1461Thank you Dr MowllI just realized you were hosting a podcast, not sure how I missed that. I listened to your guest Sachin Patel. Powerful information to change an unhealthy world view. I love what you do Dr Mowll, you bring hope and life changing information with such encouragement to not give up. I have been making lifestyle changes over the last few years as I learn more from you and the experts you host. Blessings

mrsfrascoSuch great informationThese podcasts are chock full of great information. Having followed Dr. Mowll for about 4 years now, there is always something new each podcast. An aha moment. Keep up the good work.
-
Gayle O.Refreshing ChangeThis is one of the very few podcasts I subscribe to. The reason I enjoy listening to this show when I’m getting ready for work in the morning is because it feels like I’m getting to listen in as legitimate experts discuss topics between themselves that interest me. There are so many podcasts, so many “experts” with no real credentials giving health advice - this is a refreshing change. Great work!
-
flyover is greatBetter than a Breathe of fresh air for diabetes folksSo glad to have functional medicine views.
-
Doc MeehanWill ColeI am chiropractor and teach at a local college near me. I really enjoyed the Dr. Cole podcast and plan on getting his book and sharing it with my students and patients. Love Dr. Mowll's you tube video and podcasts and have recommended them to many folks. Keep up the great work Dr. Mowll !
-
BG1104Episode 003This is the best explanation of Type 2 diabetes I have ever heard. I appreciate the fact that Dr. Fung helps with understanding the disease and how to go about reversing it rather than putting a bandage on it/the fact that the DISEASE has to be treated and not the SYMPTOMS.
-
Evil little princessThank You for my Aha momentDr. Mowll always has interesting speakers but this last Podcast was particularly eye opening. I can't fix a body I hate. I almost cried when I heard that. It was a little too real. And you are completely right. In a struggle to find peace with myself I intend to listen every week and you should too. Always grateful for what you provide to us.

Golden MagraDr BikmanI am a 67 year old woman battling uncontrolled (or so I thought) weight gain. After listening to this podcast my life is changed forever. I have gone to doctors and nutritionists for answers since I feel I eat well but still gain weight. I wanted information not more pills or supplements. Today I got that. I’ll check back in two months with an update. I’m elated to have this knowledge. Thank you for this podcast and Dr.Bikman!

Chris121314Optimized nutrition for each personJust loved the interview with Dr. Will Cole. We shouldn’t be afraid of eating fat or vegetables! I cannot wait to read his book as this has been the way I’ve been thinking. Ketosis is great for my body except I miss the veggies and I do need more fiber. Everyone needs a diet based on their individual needs and to seriously look at what foods are helping them and what is hurting them. I’ve changed my words from “I can’t eat a donut.” To “no thanks, donuts aren’t my choice to feel good.”
-
*A#BeeSo glad to see you here Dr. MowllI found Dr. Mowll through a diabetes summit a couple or more years ago and I have followed him ever since. I love his balanced yet informative style of presentation and I trust his opinion and his information. If I met him he would be surprised to know I feel like I know him. Personable and knowledgeable and I’m glad he’s started this series.
-
jenellalouiseWonderful InformationGreat to know there’s different approaches to DM treatments and MD’s leading a different way . Thanks so much-
-
OrionQuestFive Star Podcast!Dr. Mowll has a great approach to interviews and keeps the conversation moving along and more importantly keeping the listener tuned in. I especially love the interviewees' answers to his important last questions. They are questions we all need to think about and if we have the ability to influence our world, would be a great discussion topic for anyone to have different views on. As a former type 2 diabetic, I've found these podcasts spot on in regards to how I've chosen to live my life and to continue learning to improve my lifestyle moving forward!
-
Toddster62MRDr Bitman is on target. A nice added researcher to the arsenal.
-
SFC111Learning from the experts!Great podcast to learn more about managing blood sugar to control weight and reduce insulin resistance.
-
BetsySRLIfe saving informationIn the US, under most health care systems, if you are pre-diabetic or non-insulin diabetic, you are on your own. Dr. Mowll is the most incredible source of information and inspiration. I love listening to his interviews, because he is able to draw out the best information and yet most practical advice out of his experts, which helps me apply their knowledge to my own life. I wish I had found him 20 years ago.
